AffordIQ
AffordIQ is an app specifically designed for first-time homebuyers. It helps users gain a clearer understanding of their affordability by enabling them to set a property goal and save towards it. The app utilises AI to analyse their spending, categorising it into information that is useful for prospective homeowners. The application is linked to RealiseIQ, which uses the data collected to enable mortgage advisors to provide accurate and relevant information to their users.
My key tasks
Additional Features
I contributed to the development of additional features by designing the system flow, wireframes, and user interface for these enhancements. I collaborated closely with the development team to ensure the features were implemented effectively.
Brand Refresh
I initiated the process of a brand refresh, which included developing a new identity, introducing a new mascot, and creating updated collateral. I also began adapting the user interface to align with the refreshed brand.
Marketing collaterals
I supported the brand by creating social media posts, animated illustrations, and videos for the FAQs section.

Progress Bar
After gathering feedback from multiple users, I discovered that one of the challenges they faced was understanding how much of the registration process remained. Completing the registration and account categorisation took approximately 15 minutes, and analytics revealed that users tended to drop out of the app at this stage. To address this issue, I implemented a progress bar, which led to a slight improvement in drop-off rates.

Renewing True Layer Consent
Consent for accessing financial data is usually valid for a limited period (e.g., 90 days) to ensure users maintain control over who has access to their information. Every 90 days we asked users to relink their accounts

Increasing categories of spending
The previous default categories felt restrictive, requiring users to fit their spending into pre-set options. To enhance flexibility, the categorisation system now allows users to create and name custom categories, enabling a more personalised experience tailored to their unique spending habits.

Building an FAQ Center of videos
I created 22 videos in total to inform users of how to use various features of the app. Some of the videos can be found on https://www.youtube.com/@affordIQ
